University Athlete Is Now OTTO PREP | Volleyball Recruiting Platform

For more than two decades, University Athlete has helped connect volleyball athletes and college coaches throughout the recruiting process.

On October 27, University Athlete becomes OTTO PREP.

It's a new name, but it builds on everything that has made University Athlete an important part of volleyball recruiting for athletes, families, club directors and college coaches.

The same trusted recruiting platform. The same team. The same commitment to helping athletes find the right opportunities.

Now, with a name that gives us more room to help athletes prepare for whatever comes next.

First Things First: University Athlete Is Now OTTO PREP

If you're looking for University Athlete, the University Athlete app or University Athlete volleyball recruiting, you're in the right place.

University Athlete is now OTTO PREP.

The recruiting tools, athlete profiles, college coach access and team behind University Athlete aren't going away.

They're becoming part of something bigger.

University Athlete joined OTTO SPORT AI with an opportunity to connect recruiting more closely to the other parts of the volleyball journey. OTTO SPORT supports clubs. OTTO EVENT powers tournaments and events. And OTTO PREP, formerly University Athlete, powers recruiting and helps athletes prepare for what's next.

Together, they create a more connected volleyball ecosystem.

Why Change the Name from University Athlete to OTTO PREP?

University Athlete has always been about recruiting.

But the journey toward playing college volleyball is bigger than a single recruiting moment.

Athletes spend years developing their game, competing with their clubs, attending tournaments, researching colleges, communicating with coaches, evaluating opportunities and deciding what they want their next chapter to look like.

Recruiting is part of that journey. Preparation is the thread that runs through all of it.

That's why the name OTTO PREP matters.

PREP gives us room to continue building the volleyball recruiting tools athletes, families and college coaches rely on today while expanding how we can help athletes prepare for the road ahead.

Because the ultimate goal isn't simply to get recruited.

It's to help athletes find the right fit and be ready for whatever comes next.

The Volleyball Recruiting Platform Coaches Already Know

For college volleyball coaches, the name is changing. The foundation isn't.

University Athlete has become deeply embedded in the college volleyball recruiting process, with approximately 95% of college volleyball programs using the platform.

OTTO PREP continues that experience.

College coaches can use OTTO PREP to find athletes, evaluate prospects, organize recruiting information and access athlete and roster information while they're attending volleyball tournaments.

And because OTTO PREP is connected to the broader OTTO SPORT AI ecosystem, we're creating more opportunities for information to flow naturally between the places where volleyball happens.

That means less time searching for information and more time evaluating the athletes who could be the right fit for a program.

More Visibility for Volleyball Athletes

For athletes and families, recruiting can feel overwhelming.

There are thousands of college programs, different divisions and levels of competition, different academic environments and countless variables that determine whether a school is truly a good fit.

OTTO PREP is designed to make that process easier to navigate.

Athletes can build and maintain their recruiting profiles, provide coaches with the information they need and explore potential college opportunities.

Tools like AI FIT Finder can also help athletes look beyond the schools already on their radar and discover programs that may match what they're looking for.

And because OTTO PREP connects with tournament information through OTTO EVENT, athlete information can be available where recruiting is actually happening: at volleyball events.

The goal is simple.

Help more athletes get seen by the right coaches and discover the right opportunities.

Helping Club Directors Support Their Athletes

Club directors and recruiting coordinators play an enormous role in helping athletes navigate the college recruiting process.

OTTO PREP is being built with them in mind, too.

The OTTO PREP Club Director experience gives volleyball clubs greater visibility into their athletes' recruiting journeys and tools to help them provide support along the way.

Rather than recruiting existing in a completely separate technology silo, OTTO PREP can become another connected part of the club experience.

That matters because athletes don't experience club volleyball, tournaments and recruiting as three unrelated things.

Neither should their technology.

Clubs. Events. Recruiting. Connected.

The move from University Athlete to OTTO PREP also reflects a bigger vision at OTTO SPORT AI.

Youth sports technology has traditionally been fragmented.

Clubs use one system to manage their organizations. Tournament directors use another to run events. Athletes and coaches use another for recruiting. The same information is entered repeatedly, systems don't communicate and the people using them are left to connect the dots.

We're building something different.

OTTO SPORT helps clubs manage the day-to-day work of running their organizations.

OTTO EVENT powers tournaments, event operations and ticketing.

OTTO PREP powers recruiting and helps athletes prepare for their next step.

When those experiences are connected, technology can start doing more of the work behind the scenes.

A roster created for a club can help power the tournament experience. Tournament information can help college coaches find athletes. Recruiting information can help athletes get discovered.

One ecosystem. Less duplication. Better information. More opportunities to help everyone in volleyball do what they do best.

Recruiting Is a Process, Not a Moment

One of the ideas behind OTTO PREP is that recruiting isn't one big moment when an athlete suddenly becomes "recruited."

It's a process.

It starts with understanding what's possible. Then comes building a profile, getting seen, exploring schools, communicating with coaches, attending camps and clinics, evaluating opportunities and eventually finding the right fit.

Every athlete's path looks a little different.

OTTO PREP is designed to support more of that journey, whether an athlete is just beginning to explore college volleyball or actively communicating with programs.

And over time, PREP gives us room to do even more.

More tools to help athletes understand their options.

More resources to help them develop and prepare.

More connections between athletes, clubs, events and college coaches.

And more ways to help athletes confidently take the next step.

Same Recruiting Expertise. A Bigger Vision.

University Athlete has spent more than 20 years helping make volleyball recruiting easier.

That experience isn't disappearing with a new name.

It's the foundation we're building on.

OTTO PREP will continue helping college coaches find and evaluate athletes. It will continue helping athletes gain visibility and discover opportunities. And it will continue helping clubs support their athletes throughout the recruiting process.

But now we can think bigger about what comes before, during and after recruiting.

Because preparing for the next level is about more than being discovered.

It's about finding the right opportunity and being ready for it.

So, if you came here looking for University Athlete, welcome.
